dh has a friend of a friend stayin i just got home from shopping with ds to find he has gone out and left the bed unmade, empty bags on floor and used my dh gel leaving it on table with lid off where ds can get it. He is a polite guy but it bugs me he is treating my house like hotel. He is out most of time and has spent nights out. But when he does come back its not until late and poor dh has to get up and let him in(we live above my job) dh works early mornings and has given him his room. Has made me mad

Can you just shut the door to his room and ignore the unmade bed? My Dh never never never makes the bed, no matter how many times i've asked!

calzone · 12/01/2008 13:34

My DH is incapable of making the bed to my high standards.

Just shut the door and let him do what he wants in his room.

Surfermum · 12/01/2008 13:34

I don't always make my bed. If he were leaving the rest of the house in a mess I might feel differently, but I agree with meep, I'd just shut the door and let him do whatever he wanted in his space.

bozza · 12/01/2008 13:34

I agree with shutting the door option.

ZippiBabes · 12/01/2008 13:36

i don't make my bed either lol..it doesn't look a lot different if it's made or not to be honest and i quite often use it in the day

just shut the door till he leaves for good

FrannyandZooey · 12/01/2008 13:37

yes I don't understand what you were doing in his room while he was staying with you?

i mean he isn't expecting you to make it he does sound like a lodger..if he is doing stuff independently

i don't expect he imagines you would go in there

ScruffyTeddy · 12/01/2008 13:56

Just shut the door and let him get on with it. You dont have to look at his room, unless he's trashed it I wouldn't be concerned.

I must be laid back though, I've never even considered making the beds. Noone sees them until we get in them. I dont see them, dont see the point!

mehdismummy · 12/01/2008 14:19

he is staying in our bedroom. We only have ds room and our room. Well more like ds and mummy room and daddys room.! So we being polite let him have our room. I have to go in there to get clothes etc plus the room is bigger so ds has some of his toys in there.

ScruffyTeddy · 12/01/2008 14:24

Where are you and dh sleeping then? You gave him your room?

ZippiBabes · 12/01/2008 14:26

eh are you mad why have you given up your bedroom to this guy

if he needs somewhere to doss for a few days then he could have the sofa or a band b

mehdismummy · 12/01/2008 14:47

QuintessentialShadow · 12/01/2008 14:49
