I wanted to make chocolate cupcakes to take to a party but I didn't mix the batter enough..it still had lots of pockets of flour. I don't know why I thought it would fix itself while baking but that's what I did. So surprise, surprise I've ended up with extremely lumpy cupcakes. 😏
To make matters worse it's also a lot of cupcakes (24) and a cake as I had too much of that blasted lumpy batter. I don't want to start again and I also don't want to throw away 24 cup cakes (and a cake). Is there anything I can do to salvage them?
I tried to search for fixes online but all the websites only tell you how to fix lumpy cake batter but not what to do if like an idiot you have already baked your cupcakes. The only thing I found was to make cake pops.
Tldr: made chocolate cupcakes with lumpy batter and have ended up surprisingly with lumpy cupcakes in which you can taste pockets of flour. I need to take some sort of dessert to a party. Can I make cake pops with lumpy cake? Are they easy to make? Is there anything else I can do? Ideally I'm looking for something quick, easy and fool (!!!!) proof, which doesn't need a lot more ingredients. I've got a about 200g of butter, 200g of sugar, plenty of flour, a few eggs and plenty of cocoa powder left.
For those who find the tldr too long to read as well: I'm an idiot and ruined my cake because I thought mixing the batter was taking too long and am trying to find a quick way to fix the resultant lumpy cupcakes.
