But on Radio 2? really! And on Ken's show too.

I thought the same, seems out of place tbh. Not in keeping with the ‘be kind’ mantra bollocks

Scot Mills has a Radio 2 show? I am very behind the times, but I still listen to Greg James in the morning.

Well it was "celebrities you can't stand for no reason". Not the politest topic but I'm sure everyone has someone that they've taken an irrational disliking to for no reason at all.

There are people in RL I can't stand and people who can't stand me.
99% of the slebs mentioned won't be listening to Scott Mills.
It's really harmless for people who wish to participate - not my cup of tea but hardly the end of the world.

Greg James has 'Unpopular Opinions' , it's good because unlike on MN where everyone oversteps the mark with the most awful opinions immediately, about everything it is not like that at all.

It’s very personal though isn’t it. I think you can have these opinions on people in the public eye - I do - but to share them on national radio 🤔I dunno. No it’s not the end world , but it’s not great either is it

@daimbarsatemydogsbone not standing someone IRL isn’t quite the same as making a public announcement about it on a national radio station though, is it? I think that’s what @Wingedharpy meant was cruel and nasty…
The problem is when other media (DailyFail) pick up on it because it’s a slow news day, then we get sudden media onslaught of the type widely reported as causing actual harm to real people such as the Love Island presenter and some participants…

I really wanted to phone is and say "That rubbish presenter who takes over from the wonderful Ken, and Cannot Do Popmaster To Save His Life".

I thought the same thing! And the first caller hated a black female celebrity (Sonique) and told us how she had made rumours up about her. It was very poor taste.

I can't believe he is a stand in for anybody on radio. He is boring to listen to very monotone and dull, dull dull.

Someone should definitely have rung in and said him.

I just hope this is a sign that Scott Mills is finally shuffling over to Radio 2. It’s just sad when he goes on about student nights these days and should have left Radio 1 5 years ago.

I just don't think it is what the BBC is for (hoiks bosom). We all have celebs we can't stand but is it for mainstream public broadcasting?

This Morning have Vanessa Feltz getting people to phone in asking AIBU. That show couldn't do the 'which slebs can you not stand' question because the two main presenters seem to be top of everyone's list.

I heard a few minutes of this when driving into town and thought the same - odd and poor taste.

Fortunately it was a short car journey, I'd rather have my teeth drilled than listen to Scott Mills - and yes he is SO rubbish at Popmaster.

I love Scott Mills, he's a breath of fresh air from Ken Bruce who oozes the personality of a plastic cup! I also can't stand his 1970s style jokes which are cringingly unfunny
