Am I the only to be appalled at the abuse I've seen about her looks on social media. Grown men and women making really awful remarks.

What’s happened?

Sortilege · 17/05/2022 23:37

I mean, the damage to her nose was a long time ago. Has she attracted fresh attention for some reason?

Lakia11 · 17/05/2022 23:38

Whenever a article comes up about her the public comments are horrendous mostly comments about her nose etc.

Lakia11 · 17/05/2022 23:39

There is always some article out about her in general but the comments that follow are terrible

Oh, more in sorrow, I see. Cue 20 pages of knocking DW. She is seriously damaged enough. Leave her alone.

Sortilege · 17/05/2022 23:41

It’s dreadful, but it’s all part of the misogynistic culture which values women for their looks. A certain type of man doesn’t see the point in a plain or imperfect looking woman. Those types of men should be blocked much more often from SM and comment pages.

XenoBitch · 17/05/2022 23:41

She looks terrible.. but I only see her in the press when she is drawing attention to herself.

Greensleeves · 17/05/2022 23:44

The treatment of DW in the media along with similar unfortunates like Katie Price, is an example of the absolute worst features of society - the cruellest, trashiest, laziest instincts that people cave into rather than apply basic human standards to their own conduct. I used to wonder what sort of people turned up to the Colosseum to see people being ripped apart by lions. It's the sort of people who take the the Daily Mail comments section to make fun of a damaged woman's face.

Stichintime · 17/05/2022 23:45

If you put yourself in the public eye, then the public eye will be on you. No excuse for nasty comments though. I think she recently had more surgery and looks better but she did look absolutely ravished before. Awful to see someone destroyed like that. I'm not sure if any surgery will really 'fix' her.

While that's undeniably true, I think the biggest volume of negative comments about women's looks when they're in the public eye, still come from other women.

Mumsnet proves that time and time again. Just a quick AS on Katie Price for example (to name but one) shows that.

Sortilege · 17/05/2022 23:52

You might be right @worraliberty Also terrible.

Where are you seeing all these articles about her? I haven't heard about her in years.

Lakia11 · 18/05/2022 00:11

Mostly on Facebook

I just googled her as had forgotten about her.
Most repulsive are the results from the daily rags.
If she willingly courts them, more fool her.
Why any woman persists in sharing links to those paper on here (for whatever reason) puzzles me. And then a fairly huge chunk of the UK trusts them each election to tell them how to vote. F'kinell 😮

JessesMum777888 · 18/05/2022 00:41

I’ve met her a few times through friends. She has the kindest heart and would do anything for anyone. She’s the First to admit she’s an addict. I hope she finds her happy ending.
