How did you tell partner unplanned pregnancy?

I know this probably isn't the right place but posting for traffic...

OH and I have been together 9 months, don't live together but have discussed future together. I missed my period, took a pregnancy test today and it came back positive 2-3 weeks pregnant. We use protection so this is unplanned. I haven't told OH yet as want to do in person and not seen him today.

Can you please tell me your stories/experiences of telling a partner about an unplanned pregnancy? How did you do it?

Quick update - we talked last night and after his initial shock and saying he didn't know what to say we started discussing our options, how could afford a child, what will need etc. He said he did want kids with me but had thought that to happen in the future.

The more we talked the more it was about how we're going to do this so the conversation made the decision we're keeping baby and going to raise him/her together. He is feeling excited this morning about becoming a dad.

So all in all very positive conversation and now I need to make doctor appointment.

I'm sure I'll be posting more in the future for advise but for now feeling happy/excited and we have a lot of planning/sorting to do!

Congratulations. I had a similar situation. DD is now 15. My then new partner is now my DH too:)

He came home from work and j said love you and he said what have you done I said I'm pregnant.
He went into the bathroom to runa bath I think he was is shock then after an hour or so it sunk in and he was v v happy.We had only been together 3 month! We've been together 9 years now married 6.
