There are often threads on here when people ask if they should report the concerns they have about a child.

These neighbours heard the abuse. The child is dead.

Absolutely dreadful.

what I want to know is why the husband has been Found not guilty of allowing This when he had been aware she was hurting him ??? He knew things were escalating and surely failed in his duty to help the poor baby so therefore did allow it ?

How horrific. The poor child.

I've rung the police because I heard my neighbours possible slapping or hitting their child. The police were around within minutes. I didn't hesitate.

I understand there can be so difficult dynamics with neighbours but when a child is in danger people should be calling for help. The child has no voice.

I've not had any follow ups from the police or social services and the child is still there. My neighbours do not know it was me that called, they still say hello and have never mentioned it.
