So long story short I took a very well-paid job that’s quite stressful not very demanding and frankly quite boring role in order to secure a mortgage, the mortgage can be paid if I’m on minimum wage. I have other income streams but id never want to rely on them.
I have enormous concerns around the viability of this current role in a recession.
The temptation is to secure this minimum wage role before the shit hits the fan so to speak.
but I’d be burning an enormous bridge so when the cycle comes around again and times prosper this would be one large corporate that I wouldn’t be able to work for and to be honest it’s one of the better ones. Annoyingly I really like the people as well.
