To ask women who wear wigs

…how they carry on at home and, generally, in life? When do you take off your wig? Who sees your real hair?

I don’t mean to be rude. I'm just considering my options as my hair gets thinner. I’m not particularly close to anyone who wears one so there’s no one I feel comfortable asking. I just wonder about some acquaintances who obviously wear wigs whose real hair I have never seen.

I wore a wig for a short amount of time and only wore it outside the home. Husband and child saw my own hair. If someone came round I popped it on. X

I have a wig due to losing my hair during chemotherapy. To be honest, I only wear it if I'm going somewhere nice. The rest of the time I either a headscarf or hat, or if I'm just at home with family I don't bother with anything.
