My friend is not from this country, but has great English. She wants to get out and meet people but doesn't seem to know how. She works two days, is free in the evenings if she had childcare.

I know that joining groups helps you create wide circles of friends. I met my husband via a hobby group and made friends via another hobby group.
I don't think either of these groups are for her though, and I'm at a bit of a loss of what to suggest.
Does anyone have any ideas of an activity we could do together each week that she would be able to make new friends, and meet men? She would like a partner but says everyone in her work is unapproachable.
