A way to find a lost iPhone?

Is there any way to track an iPhone that is lost in a house? I've been cleaning all morning, turn around, phone vanished. Honestly cannot find it anywhere. I've put it into a few online things, they ask for 50p or £1 to locate the phone.

Is this legit? I'm about to do it because I need to find it for work and general life.

Any place this can be done?

Might be obvious but have you rung it from another phone?

Log in to iCloud.com and use find my iPhone

Do you have an iPad - or other Apple phone

go to the find my app and put in your Apple ID

It should show up in the house and you can get the iPad to beep your phone -

Do you have an Apple Watch? You can ping the phone from it and it will sound an alert.

The find my iPhone app that's built into iPhones for this exact purpose?

MolkosTeenageAngst · 15/05/2022 15:03

Can you call it? Even if it’s on silent if you’re in a quiet room you can usually hear it vibrating.

If that’s not an option then if you have find my iPhone set up you can log onto it from any computer or device with an internet browser, it’s easiest from another Apple device on the same account (iPad, watch etc) but you can do it through a laptop etc instead. You can play a sound through the phone so you will be able to hear and locate it.

Ask St Anthony to find it.

Go round calling for Siri to set a timer or something and then it replies?

MrsWooster · 15/05/2022 15:25

There’s an app called wunderfind which detects anything Bluetooth by telling you how many feet away the item is and you wander about, getting nearer and nearer. Fun and useful!

NotyouGuillermo · 15/05/2022 15:54

Shout hey Siri, where are you? If the phone is on it will work.

Paying for someone else to find your phone will likely require giving them your iCloud details and you’ll lose much more than £1!

when you set the phone up at first it will have taken you through the Find Me feature and asked if you wanted it turned on. If you turned it on you can check where any Apple device linked to your iCloud account is, yourself, for no cost.

Use this link from any internet connected device (tablet/phone/laptop) www.icloud.com/#find or log into the find me app on any other Apple device. You can play a sound on it, use the map to see where it is, wipe it if it’s lost, display a message on it etc. Your iCloud details are likely your email address. If you’ve forgotten those details use this iforgot.apple.com/password/verify/appleid

Log into iCloud, don't pay anyone.
