To want a refund

Bought a jacket from vinted for £18 described in very good condition.
No mention of marks, just 'worn in good condition.
Just collected and marks on sleeve (possibly wax - see image) marks above pocket (which might wash out) and extremely faded (more than it looks on photos)
I would never dream of sending something in this state, never mind state very good condition.
It took me 4 days to collect and she's been chasing me to pick up, but I've had covid and been bed bound, and had 6 more days to collect still on the clock.
WWYD? I'd never normally make a fuss as not to offend anyone but I could have bought new for that. Would it be unreasonable to return and want a refund?

I forget the exact process but you can click "I have an issue" and send photos showing the item isn't in the described condition.

I bought 2 dresses and a cardigan for DD and both dresses were covered in permanent marker and the cardigan had a big hole in it. Seller refunded without an issue.

Problem is , worn in good condition means different things to different people

As above click that there is an issue and see what Vinted says ..

curlymom · 11/05/2022 17:27

Just click you have issue and ask for refund

Seashor · 11/05/2022 17:29

We had this. We sent it back and it was refunded.

I think you only usually have 2-3 days to report an issue once you've confirmed receipt, so you'll need to do it quickly.

I like vinted, but I do find occasionally that, same as ebay, things described as brand new stink of washing powder so have clearly been worn and washed, but it's impossible to 'prove' a smell!

Collinsro · 11/05/2022 17:41

Thanks all.. I've clicked I have an issue but it doesn't seem to work as it's still appearing like I've not clicked it, I've messaged seller and seeing if they reply, if no response or unhelpful not sure what I will do, do I need to send vinted proof of sending it back in 48 hours but I don't yet have an address?? Not sure how it works.. how can Iinform vinted?

Also, if Vinted agree a refund, even if you collected from her, I'd be tempted to post it back recorded so you have proof, otherwise she can easily say you've never returned it. You can buy evri (used to be hermes) postage for about 2 quid for small items.

Collinsro · 11/05/2022 17:45

Ah ignore me (blaming covid brain) I've worked it out..thanks for the tips everyone it's very helpful xx

You do realise the seller has to agree to a refund first. Then you need to post the item back to the seller via tracked parcel. Then the seller confirms they have received it and only then do you get a refund. You won’t get back the cost of sending it back to the seller either.

Barkingmadhouse · 11/05/2022 18:38

So you collected the item, therefore had chance to inspect it before leaving, left and then decide you have an issue? You knew the item was used and didnt thibk to chexk it over? You messed up here
