To moan about my period

I had covid last month and during what was probably a really shitty time to be ill, I also had my period. For 8 days solid!! I mean heavy and relentless. I was like a prune when it had finished. All the life had been sucked out of me.

Anyway here I am 6 weeks after that and only just coming on my period now. So far I've got a weird sore throat, period pains, feeling dizzy, really light headed and my lower nether regions are growling away like they're seriously pissed off about being disturbed.

I know this one will be heavy. I've had heavier ones this past 12 months and they're really bad for about 3 days and then start to tail off.
I take iron, vit D, magnesium, B12, B6, some probiotic stuff in a capsule and ashwghanda.
I've been to the Drs but all they did was prescribe me a progesterone only tablet (I can't have oestrogen because I have aura migraines- usually around my period) which just made me feel breathless.

I get breathless every time my progesterone peaks and I did explain that issue but it was passed off as merely trivial and I was prescribed it anyway.

Either way I've had enough. I don't like having periods, I've got 2 kids already and don't want anymore. What I'd really like is for someone to just invent an off switch for the whole womb system. I bet if this was a blokes issue someone would've invented something wonderful by now.

TLDR- had covid with heavy period, 6 weeks late and just started my next one. I having periods.

God, I so agree with you. Bastard things. Pain is unbelievable plus horrible ovulation pain. Every 25 days I want to die.

I also (in the past) have had really bad episodes of PMDD- to the point of hallucination and full blown suicidal thoughts- which have gone as soon as I started bleeding, I've managed to calm them down somewhat with high doses of vitamins.
