It is almost a year since we tied the knot and looking for ideas as to where to spend a long weekend. It will probably only be a 3nt/4 day trip due to limited leave. So ideally somewhere that's convenient in terms of short flight, quick to get from airport to where we need to be (whether that is city centre or beach).

We haven't been abroad since before the pandemic, had a "minimoon" in the UK and will save (mostly leave) for a longer break for a proper honeymoon/ holiday thats at least a week, ideally two.

Ideas?

What do you want us to do? List every European city with an airport?

Where do you want to go?

@Mercedesbenz2022 thanks for the suggestions!

@BigChesterDraws obviously not - I was just looking for people's experiences for where was good when time is tight.
In the UK for example, in my experience of UK airports, I would say Manchester is ideal - great city, can get a bus or train in <30mins to the centre. London is too big/busy/take too long to get in and out of most London airports I have used and some smaller ones like Bristol or Cardiff aren't particularly well connected. This sort of thing, as I can't afford much time to travel.

In that case, it would help to know where you want to fly from.

I would personally say Scotland, but I'm biased because that's where we spent our wonderful honeymoon 20 years ago 💕
