If you are/used to be a nurse

What do you want to do or what did you go on to do career wise?

I used to love my job, now dread it. It's not the place, it's not the staff, it's the whole service as a whole now, especially since covid. I just don't know what I could do instead that would pay similar (top band 5).

I have thought of opening a dog park but that definitely wouldn't pay the same. One nurse I know of has gone on to be a bus driver, some do private healthcare, one has opened a Botox clinic. Still nursing but not in the nhs I suppose 🤦🏼‍♀️ it is bearable but I'm figuring that life is short and why should I absolutely hate going to and being at work!

I’m a nurse. Like my role (band 5 on an outpatient unit) but hate the politics. Tempted to set up a private ear microsuction clinic. Cheap to run and easy money due to demand…also very satisfying!!

@ItsMutinyontheBunty I've never worked in outpatients, perhaps that would be more enjoyable! Micro suction does sound very satisfying though.
