To want more male friends?

I have a solid group of female friends who I love, but I grew up with all brothers/male cousins and had a lot of platonic male friendships when I was younger. I just “get” male humour more and seem to get on easily with them. But any male friends I’ve had have fizzled out now, tbh I have only one left! I also have Asperger’s so it’s possibly why I seem to fit in with males. But now I’m married with kids and while there is a lot of opportunities to make female mom friends there is very limited opportunities for women to mix with males/both genders. Also it doesn’t always sit well with people as when you socialise with the opposite sex people often assume it’s to meet a potential partner and you shouldn’t do that once married. I work in a very female dominated environment (beautician) and I possibly only miss male company because im so used to women ! I might just have to wait til my sons are grown up and be one of them mums hangs out with her kids 🙈

What is “male humour” is it jokes about belching and penis size?

IcyBlonde15 · 07/05/2022 12:03

BigCheeseSandwich no, I certainly didn’t mean that!

How old are your DC? I have made some great male friends at the school gates and through sharing lifts to DCs' clubs etc.
