Left out at work

A woman at work seems to be annoyed with me (I don't know why). I used to be invited out for drinks and to her house. Recently she has left me out of after work drinks, she had invited the other women in our team but not me.

YABU just ignore it and get over it
YANBU this is childish shit and you should feel upset

If you think she's annoyed about something I would personally just ask if you'd done anything to upset her.

Why don't you arrange something instead and invite her? If it was always you going to her house or her arranging nights out etc she could have felt that the effort was one sided?

Yup, ask her directly. Or arrange drinks yourself or do the hosting.

YANBU - your feelings are valid and it’s shit to feel like that.

I had a similar incidence where I was friendly with a colleague but then ignored when i got a promotion instead of her friend. I didn’t care that much because I wasn’t her friend so no loss, but I was also on the other hand devastated because Im desperate for people to like me. It wasn’t like I was promoted unfairly; we both went for the job and I was appointed.

It helped that I confided in a trusty colleague who said it had also happened to her.

Have you got any trusty people on the inside who may know why you’ve suddenly been left out?
