HELP I THINK I MESSED UP MY PASSPORT

so I finally received my new passport yesterday, signed it today, and went below the line 😭😭😭😭😭 also made a little mistake so went over it and it looks thick. So scared I’m going to be turned away over a passport !!

I don't think they really look at the signature, just the photo?

I have been and looked at my new passport where I signed it. It is just a faint line to indictate where you should sign. My signature has gone below it in several places due to the letters in my name. I've traveled on it with no issues. It's not like signing it in the old way where it had to be within the box on the application form for scanning purposes.

I once turned up with my passport - not my first trip with this particular passport - to be told to sign it there and then. Yes, nobody had even spotted on any of my previous trips that it was unsigned...

I forgot to sign mine and was asked to do it at the check in desk - I got all muddled and spelt my name wrong in the signature. Still hasn't been a problem!

DH got told to sign his passport at the check in desk of our recent flight. He’d had it 2 years before anyone noticed 😮

@PinkSyCo I honestly don't know what came over me. It was my first day at university and a chap introduced himself to me: "hi, I'm ollie" and I replied "hi I'm ollie too"... and then had NO IDEA what to do! 😂🙈

My son signed his in the wrong place (middle of the page nowhere near the line). He phoned the passport office in a panic and they said it was fine.

Hey - have you had any issues? I just got a new signature with name changed after getting married and I have gone over it a few times as it looked bad and now it’s really thick and even worse - will this be a problem?

Nah, they won't care. Like pp, I turned up at the airport with an unsigned passport. They noticed at the gate and just told me to sign it on the plane.

They don't have anything to compare it to anyway.
