Is weakness after Covid normal?

My dad who has a heart condition and diabetes has Covid about three weeks ago.

He still feels quite weak. Is this normal?

Yes but worth chatting to the GP just to be safe

Yes sadly it's quite common but would get him to check with gp due to his pre existing conditions as both can cause tiredness

Yes, it is a side effect unfortunately. I'm a reasonably fit male but I'm still easily exhausted two weeks after having Covid.

But as previously said, it never hurts to be safe and I would get him checked, if only for peace of mind.

Hope there's nothing to worry about.

Thanks everyone. I've also got him a appointment. I don't know why, I was under the impression that if you've been vaccinated you don't feel the symptoms after the two weeks ...

I felt quite fatigued for about four weeks after having Covid and I'm a middle-aged woman, fully vaxxed and a regular runner, so reasonably fit.

Given your dad's heart condition, he should be checked out if he's feeling weak, because it might not be Covid that's causing it.
