Parenting Fail ...

Hi, lets talk parenting fails ....

Mine:

DS going for a blood test then clinic appointment.

DS "mum, I feel dizzy I'm going to faint"

Me: you're fine, just wait by the car I'll get the coat out of the boot.

Turn round. DS is on the floor having fainted. Looked great going into an appointment with a bloodied nose! I felt awful!

Whats your worst?

Telling teen son he should have tidied and vacuumed his bedroom when he trod on something that hurt his foot.
3 days later he had physio for an unconnected injury, (Knee dislocation.) They rang to ask me to come in. (Neglectful parent as I thought he was sensible enough to go alone. He was.) He had a sewing needing embedded into his foot and would need a general anesthetic and overnight stay. His Dad then "Reassured" him by saying he'd either share a ward with a grumbling toddler or elderly and confused snorer!
