Woke up an hour ago sneezing like a bastard, now I'm seeing this rash. It started on my legs but it's moving everywhere as I'm looking at it. This is my upper arm. I've phoned 111 and they're calling me back but I feel like shit and can't face the prospect of a night in bloody a&e. What the fuck is this?

It looks like measles.

Wellitsarash · 03/05/2022 02:39

Really? I do have a headache. It's very itchy. It's literally growing over me as I look at it. Freaky fucking thing.

Got in for 8am, you'll just have to wait al night to be seen anyway! Unless you have a fever just go right away!

Wellitsarash · 03/05/2022 02:42

Yeah I don't want to die in the night. It's freaky. Also am being unwell. No temperature tho

Wellitsarash · 03/05/2022 02:47

It’s hard to seed clearly in the pic and rashes are always really hard to diagnose, if you’re feeling very unwell then I’d probably also be looking at getting seen sooner rather than later. 111 seems good approach for now but perhaps get a bag ready to go into hospital if you’re awake anyway. Would imagine the sooner you can get blood tests the quicker you’ll know what’s up. Good luck, I feel for you

Photo isn't very clear, it could be a viral rash. Contact GP in the morning

NerdleNoodle · 03/05/2022 04:17

Have you done the glass test? I stress that I have no medical background. But I was taught that if you press a glass to a rash and the spots remain red and visible, then it's viral. If the rash blanches when you push the glass on it then it's likely to be something else - an allergic response perhaps.

I had a rash like that when I had tick bite fever. Not sure where you or if that's a possibility.

I had a weird rash like that when I had covid.

GlamGiraffe · 03/05/2022 04:50

Does resemble an allergy rash and ypuve been sneezing excessively. Allergic skin reactions dont always itch. Have you taken tue full amount of piriton? (Irs either 3 hrly or 4 times a day). FexofendIne OTC & and which can be prescribed. An antihistamine cream "sting and bites' might soothe if ot itches. is a more modern antihistamune which has good results. What have you been doing today? Also have you washed your hair in the shower! New product? Where did rash start.

ittakes2 · 03/05/2022 05:38

Have you tested for covid? Could be covid rash.

ittakes2 · 03/05/2022 05:40

dermo recommended this website to check rashes. Sneezing made me think of covid - might be covid rash here are some covid rash photos

They look like hives to me, but I am not an expert on hives. Did you say that you have some Piriton, if so then I think you should try that, but if you would really prefer putin I am afraid that you have a bit of a journey in front of you...

Bednobsbroomsticks · 03/05/2022 06:41

I've had that before went docs and it was allergic reaction. Other symptoms? Temp or aching? Do glass test. If glass test ok maybe viral rash or allergy

Bednobsbroomsticks · 03/05/2022 06:43

Oh sorry just saw headache no temp. Apologies
