Is anyone else having this problem with E.on?
My direct debit amount has not changed in April as it should have done with the increase (my gas who is with another provider has gone up as expected).
When I have been putting in metre readings onto my online account it tells me my account is in X amount debit but then says 'this metre reading has not been used for billing'. I cannot change change my direct debit amount online and they won't when I call either. And now to top it off, I can no longer even give metre readings anymore. All of this because have chosen now of all times to move everything to 'E.on Next' and so aren't accepting them at the moment.
So I'm basically in debt with them for my electric but I can't pay it and they won't even accept metre readings now so I've no idea by how much I'm in debt either anymore.
On the phone they told me it could be longer that the end of May before they are done with this system move.
It's a fucking joke. They were supposed to come fit a smart metre too so I could keep an eye on it, they fitted it but didn't 'make it smart' at the time and now won't come out until this system move has taken place. This means my gas provider also can't fit the smart metre for that until E.on have finished.
Why the fuck would they do this now with all the April increases?!
I feel like I'm going to end up with a huge bill of someone unknown amount in a few months time when they've finally got their shit together and moved onto the new system and start accepting metre readings again.
