To go to a hotel not camp at Bestival

So- we are taking out 4 yo to her festival 🤘🏼but we are thinking of leaving the festival (Camp Besitval) in the evening to stay in a Prem Inn and go back the next day. Has anyone done this? Would it be a faff? I would normally camp but for the first go I wanted to do something a bit more straightforward.

We are going this year with our 4 year old and camping! I’m seeing it as all part of the fun!! But we have all the camping gear. Do you?

Would you just pay for day entry?

It’ll be a complete faff. There isn’ta hotel for miles so you will be stuck in traffic jams for hours each day. Go glamping instead if you don’t want to schlep your own stuff around.

I have done this for years at Carfest. I hate camping - and am a single parent - so much easier to book a decent hotel a few miles away. It paid off last time we went - when it poured with rain all weekend - we could get "home" to a warm room & shower and get our stuff dry. Wonderful!

However this year now the DC are older - they have persuaded me to hire a camper van so this year we will be on site.

Pros and Cons - now finally I can take full advantage of the gin samples on site!! I am almost slightly excited!

But sorry not sure of the hotels near Bestival. I was happy to drive 10 miles plus each way.

@Question10 we have some stuff. I normally love camping but just don’t fancy it this time. We looked at clamping options but too pricey for us. Camper van would be cheaper than glamping but still way more expensive than going to a hotel which I think is crazy. Like at least 400£ cheaper than the most basic ‘glamping’ option .
