I've always had problems with ear wax and usually have to get my ears drained every 6 months. So I decided to order one of the smart bud ear cleaner things after seeing lots and lots of adverts online. All reviews seemed to be good (naively I only looked at the ones on the ads).
I haven't received it yet so can't actually comment on the effectiveness of the product, however I decided to have a quick look on trust pilot at the reviews on there. Quite a few negative reviews of some people ending up in A&E due to the tips coming loose and getting stuck in their ears. The company have then responded to these reviews stating that their website clearly states that the product is designed for external use only and is not to be put inside the ear. But every single advert shows somebody putting it right inside their ear to clean it, including every advert on their website! Isn't this false advertising??
