I paid for a software that had a guarantee - don’t like it and we’ll give you your money back no questions asked.
The software was a total shit show, didn’t work like it was supposed to, and within 3 days I requested a full refund.
They emailed back saying they’d give me a half refund because I was using it wrong and that’s why it didn’t work for me. I sent screenshots showing that it wasn’t me, it was the software (I work in the industry so I know when something is just plain crap).
Anyway, they never got back to me despite chasing so I left them a bad review on TrustPilot kinda saying buyer beware as the guarantee isn’t what they say it is.
Cue 3 missed calls, a text and a WhatsApp from some customer service guy saying he wants to get the refund processed so to let him know when we can chat. I respond let’s keep it via email so it’s in writing - no, he says we need to talk on the phone.
He’s nice as pie on the phone, apologising and promising a full refund. THEN he says, if we give you the full refund will you take your review down?!
I said I’d edit it to say there’s been a resolution I’m happy with but I think he’s an absolute CF for asking for that. It also explains why they only seem to have good reviews…
So WIBU to edit the review and explain what happened and that he asked me to take it down? Or should I just give a few extra stars, say it was resolved and move on with my life?
I’m not normally a complainer but it wasn’t cheap, they’re not a tiny company, and tbh I’m now majorly pissed off.
