I don't know if this is the right place to post but I'm trying to understand why so many women, one on my feed in particular , create a sexy persona( simulating oral sex/ kissing the camera/ pouting/ sticking out bum and boobs/ capturing themselves in sexually provocative poses) on ig when they have a professional page which in this case is art.
The lady in question is a fantastic artist.She is also very beautiful for sure .
I love her work and it gives me great pleasure, yet every day lately , there is yet another sexy provocative video or photo of her completely unrelated to her art.

Needless to mention, the comments do not relate to her artistic talent whatsoever but full of creepy comments form men.
This lady is married but has only alluded to this once on the last few years.

AIBU to think that this is weird ?

Maybe because she likes doing that and finds it fun. but also its the way the instagram algorithm works. She will likely get more engagement from the non art posts which will bring more people to her page and therefore get a bigger audience for her art.

It's how to play the game. She isn't harming anyone.

Attention seeking innit

Because sex sells. The promise of sex sells. Because women are fed the narrative that what they look like and how they are viewed is how they are valued by the world.

She's cynically using this to sell her art.
And that is her choice. A choice men don't make. Bloody sad isn't it.
