As above. How long is it likely to take? Please ask if other information is needed.

Depends on so many factors. If it’s a remand in custody case, within an hour. If not, it takes longer. The more serious and complex the case, the longer it takes. They may review it and then ask the police to go and do something else, then once that has been done it goes back in the queue to be reviewed again.

it will also depend on how many other cases there are to be reviewed. It’s not a piece of string question unfortunately.

it could be anything from a few days to several weeks or even months.

No remand. Not particularly serious as far as I can make out. It's been over a month, already.

If it’s not too complex I would hope not too much longer. But it just depends how busy they are. I know our local CPS office has a massive backlog at the moment. I hope you get your answer soon.

Hi,

I'm in a similar boat, waiting for CPS decision. I was under the impression it takes them 28days.

Did you manange to a response from them or No? If so, after how long did you get the response?

Norriscolesbag · 29/11/2022 20:20

From October to around Feb/March for me.

Omg that's 4 months 😢. Looks like I'll be here for a very long time.

Do you mind me asking if there was a prosecution or they closed the case?
