AIBU to hope that the Uber eats driver who stole my food gets food poisoning 😡

New here but have been coming on to read threads for a long time.

sorry I know it’s not the most exiting first post but I’m just so angry.

ordered McDonald’s (I know) on the Uber eats app a few hours ago now, I tracked my driver on the map and put the app off when it showed they were a few seconds away, there was no knock at my door so I checked the app again and it said it had been delivered, this driver has been to my house before so knows the address. She followed the route on the map so that it would show as delivered then she kept my food.

spoke with Uber eats and they said they will not be issuing a refund, they refuse to listen to me, I tried calling the driver and left a voicemail but obviously she was busy eating my chicken selects 😡 Uber eats customer service is awful can’t believe they refuse to refund a customer when one of the drivers steals from them.

I tipped her as well, I tipped her to steal my food 😡AIBU to really hope the chicken selects I was craving gave her food poisoning.

Shame them all over Twitter and FB.

Apply to your bank/ credit card company for a chargeback.

i should have tipped after it yes but I just added a tip when I checked out.

How do you know she actually ate them? Maybe she delivered them to a neighbour? She will have loads of customers so won't always remember where you live.

I’d be going to the McDonald’s speaking to the manager and confronting her. She’ll go inside to collect the orders.

She didn’t deliver to a neighbour I only have 3 of them, I live on a very small street and the neighbour are very elderly and don’t get food deliveries. I left a voicemail for her with my name address and number and asked about my food, I called her 4 times and she never answered.

This happen to me with a pizza hut. I tracked the driver nearly to my house but he missed my street and stopped at a layby then it suddenly went to delivered! Thankfully deliveroo refunded right away and I reordered!

Don’t want to be outing but i live in a small city on a tiny street with a well known local historical building on it. There is no missing it and the drivers always remember it. There has been a few problems with the local drivers recently but as I hadn’t personally had a previous problem with them I thought I would still order.

Happened to me this week with a brunch order. I assumed they had delivered to the wrong address rather than thinking the food was stolen. I guess the delivery driver must have been starving to steal your food.

Mine was deliveroo and they immediately refunded. Bit rubbish that Uber eats didn't.

Uber eats refund. You just need to go into the order and say its not delivered. You can also remove the tip by rating the delivery person!
