To be totally fed up with Domestic And Sodding General insurance?

The shelf broke in my fridge. Engineer visited 04/03 and ordered the parts. Told it would take around a week to arrive.

Still hadn't arrived by the end of the month, so I emailed them on the 30th March. They apologised and said they'd be sent out. A week later a package arrived.

Just the glass, no plastic trim so utterly useless. Emailed them back to be told "this matter has been resolved." Er, no it hasn't. They eventually admitted that the engineer had forgotten to order the plastic trim. Told it was ordered. (03/04)

Still nothing, up to last week. Emailed them back again. Told. They'd been ordered.

Parcel just arrived today. Just the bloody glass again.

I can't believe it's taken almost two months to get a replacement shelf and I'm still waiting. I'm totally and utterly fed up of chasing them now!

YANBU. I have been badgered by them on and off (for the past 10-12 years) after every bloody purchase of an electrical item. They're crap. I would never ever take out insurance with them. Their 'insurance' is not worth the paper it's written on (like most extended warranties!)

Had a very painful experience with them and our washing machine. A very long drawn out saga, incompetent engineers, unavailable parts, being put on hold forever. Several weeks without a working machine. In the end they did write it off but only because they couldn't actually get hold of a replacement part. Would never ever use them again. Sorry not much help to you!

Honestly I wish I'd never hear of them! Thinking about just buying the shelf and sending them the invoice! I just want to be able to use my fridge properly again!
