To think it very odd that someone likes ALL their own stuff on Facebook

Pretty much every post and comment she makes she likes herself. I've never known anyone else do that. Odd quirk or red flag?

I like my own tweets! It’s harmless.

I have a friend who does this. I think it’s completely harmless and means nothing.

MermaidSwimming · 23/04/2022 08:16

I know someone that does this and also comments on her posts if no one else does. I think it's a bit odd but harmless

Purplepalm192 · 23/04/2022 08:17

My dh does this because he thinks it’s funny

Scorchedterf · 23/04/2022 08:19

I do this sometimes because I don’t use it often and don’t really get how it works

Ponoka7 · 23/04/2022 08:20

Personal preference rather than odd quirk. A red flag would be taking it personally if others didn't like their stuff and causing arguments/being petty in RL about it.

Giraffesandbottoms · 23/04/2022 08:20

I do this because I post photos of my children and I like my children 😃

StrictlyAFemaleFemale · 23/04/2022 08:22

Someone once posted on MN that theyve always known that you should like your own posts and got flamed for it. The onky person Ive known who did it was very very strange.

Sunnysideup · 23/04/2022 08:26

I think people do similar on here, they enable voting on aibu and then vote they aren’t. 🤣

Blinkingheckythump · 23/04/2022 08:27

It's really strange.

@Flickflak isn't it normal to reply directly to people who comment on your stuff?

You have to vote or you can't see the vote count

Gowithme · 23/04/2022 08:55

I don't see the point in liking your own stuff? Obviously you like it or you wouldn't have splashed it all over SM! To me it just seems like an attention seeking thing to do.

BakedTattie · 23/04/2022 09:09

I knew someone that did this. But she had multiple accounts and would log into each one separately to like her initial post.

she also only ever posts majorly filtered selfies. It’s so self indulgent.

it drove me mental.

GrunkleStan · 23/04/2022 09:37

The only person I know who does this is quite insecure.

You can’t see the results of the voting unless you vote. I suppose the right thing to do would be to vote YABU in this case!

JulesRimetStillGleaming · 23/04/2022 09:41

I know someone who does this. It's weird but I barely register it now.

Mrsjayy · 23/04/2022 09:42

I don't know about the likes I ve never noticed, but isn't it normal to respond to friends who comment 🤔

Why would it be attention seeking? I mean how would it actually gain any attention by clicking like on your own post? I don’t get that at all.

I’d imagine it’s just a weird habit she’s got into. A bit strange but harmless. I’m not sure what the red flags would be here other than she likes what she posts (which is inherent in the fact that she posted them to begin with).
