Protestors in town

I went into town on Saturday and saw a large group of climate protestors in the busiest footfall area. My fiend and I politely declined several leaflets thrust in our faces along with ‘don’t you care about the planet?’ as we walked through with one man not taking our no thankyou for an answer - he said, ‘let me walk with you and explain’. Great big banner about the end being nigh or something blocking the cash machines, getting right up in people’s faces who are just trying to have a nice day. I notice it’s only all started up again now the sun is out - not so important back in Jan/Feb. I know people have a right to protest but just found it quite intimidating. We walked through quickly and from what I saw the majority of people did the same - didn’t engage so I wonder if doing this ever achieves anything

Better footfall this weekend than in Jan/Feb.

There is a climate emergency: the end is pretty nigh!

But intimidating isn't a good look.
