To not like Exploding Kittens.

Having read Exploding Kittens being repeatedly recommended on MN, I recently purchased it. It is so dull, I'm so bored within a couple of rounds.

So AIBU to find it duller than dull? *

  • I'm aware that I am, but I can't be the only one surely.

Yeah I don’t love it, I like games with a bit more complexity.

Germolenequeen · 17/04/2022 21:42

YANBU - took it on a girls holiday to Lanza & left it there 😴

FeebasAquarium · 17/04/2022 21:43

We took it on holiday but got bored and went back to uno. I wanted to like it the cards are cool but meh.

Vallmo47 · 17/04/2022 21:51

We like it :) Bought the expansion pack too with the streaking kitten which makes it even better. Very expensive for some cards though.

JurasicPerks · 17/04/2022 21:52

It's awful. The kids adore it.

Thatswhyimacat · 17/04/2022 21:58

Exploding kittens is ok but the same company make other games that are really just rubbish, like poorly thought out mechanics with some stupid quirk stuck on it to make it apparently hilarious. Bears vs Babies is the worst offender.

flashpaper · 17/04/2022 21:58

DD was given it as a gift. We played it once and never again. It's the worst game we've played, I can't understand the love for it on here.

IbizaToTheNorfolkBroads · 17/04/2022 21:59

I didn’t used to get it, the dc loved it. Played it with them again last weekend (about 18months later) and loved it after a couple of rounds.

sunshineforest · 17/04/2022 22:06

My kids absolutely loved it for years and it got us through many holidays.

Herd Mentality is more fun for a group and works well with all ages. Even our 4 year old joins in!

Leftbutcameback · 17/04/2022 22:12

Exciting name, quite dull to play. I do love Obama llama too!

ShowOfHands · 17/04/2022 22:13

We never tire of it. It's a quick train/holiday/after dinner game which everybody understands and requires a bit of thought towards the end. DD is 14 and plays it with her friends at lunchtime too.

WhiteFire · 17/04/2022 22:38

Luckily I picked it up in Tesco for a few pounds, will check out Obama Llama though.
