To ask if you go away on vacation without your OH?

I've been away for 2 weeks back to our hometown. DH could not get time of work so had to stay at home. I've found it so tough. We've been married 14 years, used to short stays away from each other but this feels really hard. Seriously cannot wait to see him again.
Does anyone else feel the same when they go away without their OH?

I go away without DH all the time (and he without me).

My dh goes away for long stints with work and always has done since before I met him. I have only had 1 holiday without him with our daughter, my mum & nanna and he moaned about it. Perfectly fine when he's gone exploring several countries without me due to work though .

Nope! We enjoy time apart, focusing on our own things we enjoy doing. I go on yoga retreats, have a music weekend planned, he goes to geeky comic conventions and gaming days. Maybe that is the issue OP, why are you away? I’d miss him if I was stuck away doing something I had to rather than wanted to.

Yes, usually with my mum and my best friend. Weekend city breaks, that sort of thing. And he goes away occasionally too with his friends.

I think two weeks is quite a long time though - our solo holidays are generally under a week. I think I would miss him after that long for sure! And then be back two days and wish I was on holiday again

I go away alone for about week every year. I love it. I miss my family by about day 5 though. Usually .

2 weeks is a long time and I'd be feeling quite homesick by then. I go away about 4 times a year for 4 or 5 days on my own, abroad, somewhere hot with a beach and a pool and love being able to do what I want when I want, and eat out when I want and what I want. It's my selfish time. When we go away together we tend to be more active with sightseeing and city breaks. It does us both good when I go away on my own but I wouldn't do 2 weeks.

I've been on a few girls' weekends away and now go once or twice a year for a week for a working holiday with friends and once or twice a year to visit family without him.

I do miss him by about day 4-5 but I also like having a break from routine. We both WFH and always have done, way before the pandemic, so we live in each others' pockets too much of the time.

No, because I’m a human limpet, he was away with work recently in Boston, it was horrible being away from each other.

I do because dh hates holidays. So I go without him. Can’t say I miss him. 😁. I’d prefer if he came but can amuse myself ok.

I’m about to go away n my own for just over a month! Can’t wait!
