If you skip meals, do you get a bit constipated?

I'm noticing if I have a day or two where I eat substantially less than normal, it causes a bit of trouble with my digestive system and is a bit uncomfortable. But so far has resolved then once eating better.

Is that just a simple result of less food passing through and nothing to worry about?

I've read advice you should check out a change in bowel habits but this surely is just a natural result of eating less I'm guessing - anyone else notice if they reduce food intake this happens?

Yes, I find things seem to slow down if the next meal isn’t arriving in the bowels to push the previous one through.

Yes, when you reduce the volume of food going in I find this too, can make your bowel a bit sluggish as you don't have the bulk to easily push through your bowel. I think if things slow down you end up with more dehydrated stools too.
