Easter: Snowdonia mountain path covered in human faeces - guide www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-wales-61128854

I'm sorry but in my opinion this is every bit as bad as dog owners allowing their dogs to foul and not picking up after them. What's happened to common decency?

Disgusting vile

SaggyBlinders · 17/04/2022 14:29

She claimed toilets at the summit were closed along with the café and "there were no toilets open at the bottom when we got to the bottom after a seven hour hike".

No wonder people needed a shit after a 7 hour hike. The toilets should have been open.

So what do you think happens on Ben nevis or Scafell? (let alone the hundreds of mountains in Scotland) AS a decent hillwalker you either bag it and take it down with you or bury it-you dont just leave shit all over the place. Disgusting.
AnyCakeButBattenburg · 17/04/2022 15:16

Dirty bastards. They should have shat into a bag and taken it home, as you would with dog poo.

Onlyforcake · 17/04/2022 15:17

These hill walkers are completely unprepared if they've no idea how to literally deal with their shit. It's such a basic lack of skills you wonder how they manage to get dressed

blacksax · 17/04/2022 15:24

If you're going for any kind of long walk and are expecting the public toilets to be open when you get there, you tend not to take toilet roll, plastic bags or a shovel with you.

What they did was still pretty disgusting though.

Georgeskitchen · 17/04/2022 15:41

Because the general public as a whole care nothing for the surroundings of others. They wouldn't think of shitting in there own garden and leaving it there

Luredbyapomegranate · 17/04/2022 16:04

Nasty.

But I think lots of people who climb snowdonia wouldn’t be prepared. So they need to stick some signs up about bagging poo, open the loos, and put up two vending machines for poo bags.

Soubriquet · 17/04/2022 16:07

Or dig and bury it and a decent depth

BlanketsBanned · 17/04/2022 16:07

Even if the toilets were open people could still need a poo, anyone sensible would take water, nappy bags, tissues and wipes.
