TTC hook effect? False positive? Pls help

So I missed my period in March, should have started on the 19/03. Took 3 PT and all came back negative.

Been feeling some nausea, some lower back pain and some odd rolly cramps.

I took another test yesterday morning (16/04) and it gave me a positive (it was a clear blue digital)

I went out and brought 4 more, 2 cheap ones and 2 clear blue that give an idea of how many weeks. All came back negative.

I took another 3 tests this morning, a clear blue one, a first response and a cheap strip test all negative.

According to a due date calculator I would be 8 weeks pregnant… but surely that would show up on a test now?

Going to call the dr on Tuesday when they re open to ask for a blood test.

I am so confused, does anyone have any experience with false positives? I know it is unlikely to be a chemical pregnancy as I took all the tests yesterday within 3 hours of each other.

Is it possible that it could be the hook effect?

Is there a chance that my missed period last month is just a coincidence and I am actually only 1-2 weeks?

Any advice would be appreciated in how to proceed.

I am going crazy thinking about it, had to be over Easter weekend when nothing is open as well.

Sorry I’m half doing a bump and half replying. Mostly because I’m not entirely sure what I’m on about but I did look up the hook effect because in my mind 10 negatives and one positive would have probably had me thinking it’s negative and I mean I don’t see why it’s not possible. It seems to exceedingly rare but someone has to be that one don’t they!

I have to say though all the websites says if you’ve had a positive followed by numerous negatives to get yourself checked by a doctor in case of molar pregnancy which can be really dangerous, so I do hope you manage to see a doc on Tuesday.

Fwiw I do have a little anecdote from myself. I found out I was pregnant with my son at 12 weeks, positive tests. I then found out with my daughter at 14 weeks, positive tests.
(I know I’m bizarre for not knowing earlier but both times was on period stopping contraception!)

Fingers crossed you get the answer you’re looking for (and the pregnancy result you’re looking for!)
