Anyone else experiencing this?

Small family WhatsApp group 8 adults where frequently messages are completely ignored.

Aibu to think it’s weird/rude to do this? Or is this normal within family chats?

I left similar group for exactly this reason (in as undramatic a manner as possible). Felt so much better.

I found both that people ignored my messages and assumed I’d read theirs. 1:1 messaging works much better.

We have a family WhatsApp group set up by one person who wants to be in charge of everything. I just ignore it and it is very rarely used.

Yeah didn't even want to be in it in the first place. It should only be used when someone dies or something important. Does my head in when it's little tarquin did this today.
