This is the advert I see on MN, it is appalling and sexist.

I've not ever seen that one, what on earth is it advertising?! Confused

DustyMaiden · 16/04/2022 12:57

@ForeverLooking. Not sure, a diet? A gym? Or a hitman?

Doesn't bother me. Always stupid ads everywhere.

FabFitFifties · 16/04/2022 13:02

I can't vote, because I have no idea what it's about. Never seen it.

DeanStockwell · 16/04/2022 13:06

I havent seen it (yet ) but any advert saying you should make your other half go to the gym is never going to sound right , it will always read as
you think your partner it fat do something about it
A man saying that to a woman would get ripped apart on here .

MurmuratingStarling · 16/04/2022 13:15

I haven't seen it before, but YANBU it's awful.

Imagine if the gender roles were reversed! ....

'Gentleman, is your woman too fat? Will she not go to the gym? If she hates you saying anything, WE will sort it out, and make the slovenly slattern get off her chunky arse!'

RUDE! Hmm

SilverHairedCat · 16/04/2022 13:15

Never seen it, but don't forget you see ads based on your online activities....

AlphabetStew · 16/04/2022 13:18

What's it for? Not that I'm interested in buying anything, my husband already has a gym membership (that he doesn't use Grin ) If he wants to 'sort himself out' he can bloody well pay for it (whatever 'it' is) himself!

Yourgirlfriendrachel · 16/04/2022 13:20

And your profile eg sex, age etc. So men will get the same advert but about a female partner (because of course everyone is heterosexual)X I had an advert the other day to ‘treat your husband’, my husband had the exact same advert except it said ‘treat your wife’.
Ylvamoon · 16/04/2022 13:20

An advert for trade ins? You can part exchange your sloppy man for a fittter, slimmer & younger model man?

abigailsnan · 16/04/2022 13:23

Never seen it on MN but have seen men & women carrying more weight whats the problem everyone is different.

Alonelonelylonersbadidea · 16/04/2022 13:33

I like the idea that it's selling the skills of a hitman. Sorry hitperson.

Very rude.

5128gap · 16/04/2022 13:36

Just another instance of trying to make women responsible for sorting out a man's problems. So yes, very sexist.

LookItsMeAgain · 16/04/2022 14:54

PMSL at how quickly your brain went from diet and gym to hitman!!

Having a bad day are you? Grin Grin Grin Grin Grin Grin

Exactly

It's not MN's choice.

It's what one of the big providers think you'll like based on your online activity
