Would you work this extra week?

I started a long term supply role but it wasn't for me. It was then the Easter holidays, I gave a week's notice by phoning them, no answer so left a voicemail explaining.

The recruiter has asked me to work an extra week there until they find a replacement.

I know I am under no obligation to, I don't want to leave them in the lurch. I can't actually do the full week as i have accepted other work now on certain days, i could do 3 days but it would mean me working 7 days that week and 60 hours. Would you do it?

Nah, don’t do it. Not your problem they didn’t respond to your voicemail.

That's true i did tell them at the very start of this week and so 8 days notice.
The school, or any school, could very well decide that they no longer need the supply teacher and immediately terminate, it works both ways
