Sick to death of bloating during period

Stomach looks as if I'm pregnant, my legs and thighs have really swelled up, arms are bigger. Sick of it, every month, don't feel nice in clothes, feel like I've put a stone on. Diet and exercise haven't dramatically changed.
If I have just one day where I overindulge I will look like I've gained half a stone for the next few days.

Makes me feel horrible, do others get this and how do you deal with it? I try to drink lots of water and exercise a lot

Don’t have any answers but I feel you’re pain. I’ve also noticed that the older I get the more I bloat during ovulation aswell. And I’m sure I just used to get period bloated tummy whereas now, like you, it’s all over, I literally balloon.

I’ve also found that the older I get the more my stomach bloats for a couple of days at the start of a period. I think I’ve read to drink lots of water to flush the excess out, even though that sounds counterproductive.

A few years ago I was on about day 1 or 2 and had slight stomach bloating. I then went to the cinema in the evening and ate a box of salted popcorn and by morning by stomach was massive. I was slim back then, maybe a size 10, and I simply couldn’t get any work clothes on and I clearly looked about 5 months pregnant. Since then I have actively avoided salty foods just before and during my period and it’s never happened again. I think salt can help retain fluid but I could be wrong.
