Please help me identify this actor!

^Caveat- I've been searching myself with no joy to the stage I'm wondering if it's a false memory!

I was at a wedding recently and met someone who instantly reminded me of an actor, but I cannot for the life of me work out who. This is what (I think) I know:

• I'm imagining him as a young adult age (18-30), in a relatively modern film/TV programme (last 10 years or so)
• Slim, Caucasian, brown curly hair, handsome 'cheeky' face
• I think the programme I'm thinking of is comedy like or at least not really serious
• English or American
