I did a job interview this morning, and saw a missed call on my phone from the employer. It came at around 3pm, when I was in a Teams meeting - I had left my phone in the kitchen and didn't see it

At first I was happy, but now I'm thinking they would have rang back if I got the job...? I'm thinking they were ringing to be polite and I'll probably get an email in the morning.

I've kinda lost hope - but anyone think different?

why didn't you ring back?

Concestor · 13/04/2022 22:14

They will have expected you to call back probably. Phone them tomorrow.

I did but it was after 5pm when I saw the missed call and it just rang out.

See if they call you tomorrow, if you were the preferred candidate they won’t change their mind just because you didn’t answer :)

Ring them first thing!

Ceci03 · 14/04/2022 14:25

still no word :( I guess I didn't get it. They said they would let me know today so it's getting a bit late now isnt it. I tried ringing back that number but it's a weird one, it just rings

Just Google the main number for the organisation and ask to be transferred.

I don’t understand why you’re not being more proactive? Assume they are contacting you because they want you until you know for sure they don’t! Why haven’t you emailed your interviewer, or rung the main number?
