Quick Wedding Gift Cash Question

WeddingQ · 13/04/2022 21:25

Giving cash as a gift for a wedding tomorrow but it's a long time since I have been to a wedding so not sure how much. Bride is a friend of a few years but don't know the groom super well. Myself and DH are going.
Happy to give anything to £200 but don't want to be over the top.
Most of the weddings I have been to were in Ireland £200 would be normal/low end I think but I know it is different in England!
Not really an AIBU but please let me know how much you would give in the circumstances?

I’d say £50-100 per couple. £200 a lot!

Definitely would say £50 max would be more normal for friends of friends I would think. I guess it depends on your personal circumstances though...

Agree with @Justyouwaitandseeagain, £50 max.

£50 in these circumstances but £100 for closer friends where you know the couple well.

WeddingQ · 13/04/2022 21:38

@namechangeforprivacyxxx - lovely, thank you.
