Tips for a four week kick start to diet

If I wanted to kick start my diet over four weeks what would I need to do?

I don't want to completely starve and I still need something sweet probably every other day.

I start on a Monday with good intentions then end up with cake and custard for pudding on the first day.

I think if I can have a decent month and see some results it will encourage me to keep at it.

Tips much appreciated.

You don’t need to diet or restrict yourself. The best and most sustainable way to loose weight is through calorie counting. Download My Fitness Pal (it’s free) and use a TDEE calculator to get your daily calories. Just make sure you track what you’re eating and you’ll soon be on the way. I’d also suggest following The Fitness Chef on either FaceBook or Instagram (if you have those) as he really explains everything so well and how you don’t need to restrict yourself. If you say to yourself no sweets you’re more than likely fail as you’ve already put an obstacle in front of you.

Good luck and well done for taking the step! Also lots of water helps too Smile

Protein. Keeps you full and balances out the sugar craving.

If you’re ending up with cake on the first day, it sounds like you’re going too extreme. You need something sustainable. Aiming “not to starve” is not enough. You want to be feeling full from mostly lean protein and vegetables.

Meal planning and not having things like crisps on the house make the biggest difference to whether I’m likely to fall off plan.

What do you weigh now and how much do you want to lose? Where do you think your current way of eating is causing you to gain weight?

Just join Noom and take it from there. I'm losing weight but not by dieting as such just by making healthier food choices most of the time.

Join Noom or Second Nature.

They come with recipes, meal planning, protein and fat to keep you full, low carb.

If you’re ending up with cake on day 1 you need support.

Try low carb as you don't get hungry and see instant results. Then have no sugar chocolate or diabetic chocolate if you need a sugar fix - but don't have too much 💩💩

Low carb is a good one for short term.

Anyone tell any difference if they do a fasted workout compared to having eaten before?
