To feel sad about leaving my job tomorrow?

I am leaving my job tomorrow. I have built the position from nothing and I have really enjoyed my time there for 3 years.

I resigned on my own accord, as they made me feel undervalued and I was offered a better job with less hours and more money, in a more stable sector. As soon as I resigned they offered to give me the same salary if I stayed, but I chose to leave regardless as I had already checked out by then.

They have hired my replacement and I feel sad about it now. They're paying my replacement the higher salary I was offered, so that feels like a kick in the teeth.

But overall I feel quite low about it and worried I'm doing the wrong thing. Logic says I'm doing the right thing, as it's a dead end job, but I can't help but feel sad.

Is it normal to feel like this?

Yes definitely. The last couple of jobs I’ve resigned from felt like 💩 until i resigned, then I quite liked them. You said it right when you said you’d checked out. You can secretly leave all the shit jobs for your replacement which is ideal.
