Sertraline and weight gain

Did you gain weight on sertraline, and how much?

DP has. Don't know how much exactly but 2 trouser waist sizes.

I've been on it for 10 weeks and gained 8kg! It must be working though because I don't really care!

About 30lbs in 3mths . I took myself off it and have never really been able to lose it and keep it off again

Was on it a few years ago for about 12 months, gained about a stone. Have since lost it again but it wasn't easy to do

yes it made me eat loads of carbs and never feel full

Was on it, worked really well for three weeks, then it stopped my bladder working! Had to immediately stop it and on mirtazapine which seems to nor affect my mood but make me super hungry and tired even though taking at night as directed. Back to the drawing board for me I think.

I’ve been on it since august and have gained 10lb. I have definitely been eating —lots of— crap though so I’m not sure it’s the sertraline fault.

3 stone. Not even joking. Have managed to lose 2 of them again but the last one isn’t budging easily…

Apparently it increases your appetite but doesn't cause weight gain (that's what my hcp said anyway) so it should be down to what you're eating and how much. I did have a slight increase in appetite but was borderline underweight anyway due to depression/disordered eating. I only put 4 pounds on but then I snacked on healthier foods and had some prepared so it was easy to get and I didn't have to think about it.

I lost weight on it as it completely killed my appetite

I lost weight on it too - it made sugary treats too sickly sweet for me.

I lost weight, it made me nauseous.
