I kicked him out

Am I being unreasonable my man’s been staying with me and I love a man I can cuddle up to. Problem is this one throws himself about the bed all night so the snoring is so loud the neighbours I can hear the neighbours tv trying to drown him out. I can’t sleep more than a couple of hours. It’s always been an issue he’s had and he’s meant to wear a gum shield to prevent it. The gum shield was destroyed by a puppy years before I met him. I’ve kept telling him it’s a massive issue for me but in three years he’s not bothered to call the dr to organise a new one. So am I wrong kicking him out. Oh I have fibromyalgia and ME so I struggle as it is and he knows it

He sounds incredibly selfish

What an absolute treat he is!

OurChristmasMiracle · 11/04/2022 13:00

Honestly I would be telling him that he cannot stay over until he has a replacement gum shield.

HollowTalk · 11/04/2022 13:02

One night of that would have been enough for me!

YANBU. There are very few things that actually stop snoring, but he should at least be prepared to try whatever's suggested to him. He can't help snoring but if the gumshield actually helps then he needs to fork out for a new one. I guess it was a custom-fitted thing but he can still get another one made.

Three years ! Lazy and selfish . I had one like that. Thought I was making a fuss. Then I recorded him . Now sleeps with CPAP. Still threw him out though, snorer AND cheater Grin

If you have ME then you are martyring yourself if you share the same room as anyone. I'd say the same house, but DH and I just about make that work 😊

No, YANBU. Your health will get better once he's been out of your bed for a while. I suspect you'll be a bit horrified at the difference it makes.

Sod him and any excuses he comes up with. ME is a crappy thing to out up with at the best of times.
