Not talking about cute little hissy fits of 2 year old girls… more like outbursts of anger and “naughtiness” so bad you’re fearing that either yourself, the child or someone else around them might get seriously hurt or something expensive gets destroyed. My DS is the size and strength of a 7 year old, it’s near impossible for me to just hold him lightly or stop him in his act without getting hurt or making things worse. I’d need some concrete advice on techniques used to stop/hold a child in a relatively gentle but effective way.

I read lots online but mostly found theoretical stuff nothing really concrete, and health visitor’s advice has been a joke. If you had children with ASD, ADHD or perhaps “just” challenging behaviour and managed to cope with tantrums, I’d love to hear your thoughts. I know it’s best to avoid issues by being the perfect parent but it doesn’t always work out that way unfortunately…
