No sure this is AIBU but cant quite figure out what's sensible. Currently live in a big semi house in a part of London with fab primaries but rubbish secondaries. The plan was always to move for secondaries. But now am confused. For us to move locally and get into catchment of an outstanding secondary - we would be buying a two bed flat that cost the same as our house plus the cost of the move around 40k. Alternatively, we could stay put (go interest only) and see if we can get DC into the local private at 25k per year. We are not flush with money and can only afford about 650k for a house or flat but in order to get decent schooling we are willing to do one or the other. Decided that I really cant face moving out of London so thats not really an option. What would you do? Am totally torn, anyone done anything similar?
