To wonder if you have ever had a Bridgerton style lust? (lighthearted)

SEASON 2 SPOILER (ish)

NC as this is an out of character post for me!

This is just a musing/lighthearted post...but, has anyone ever had a Bridgerton-esque love/lust situation?!

I'm talking Anthony and Kate Sharma style lust.

I have been with DH nearly 15 years since we were 16, fancied the pants off each other and I still do find him very attractive. He's getting better with age as well. He's an amazing father and supports me in all that I do. We aren't rich but have a nice life and have genuine love, great sex etc etc.

However, there has never been that moment of wanting to rip each other's clothes off, or intense staring moments - have you ever had that? Did it end well? If it did, do you still have it years later??

For sure, with DH, minus the Bridgerton love triangle. We're not like that anymore -- still fancy each other 13 years later but that kind of lust is not sustainable long term!

We're both very intense people in general, though, and are constantly arguing, much like Anthony and Kate. It doesn't bother us but I imagine most people wouldn't want that kind of marriage.

Hehe yes with my now husband. Not now obv but when we first started dating we couldn't keep our hands off each other. One time we were getting changed from swimming (his parents have a pool) and we couldn't help ourselves and went at it with his entire family downstairs. Hehe

Lusted after DH for ages, thought I was wasting my time as we were just friends but one night we cooked dinner and I felt him staring. Fanny gallops, mutual flushing, throat clearing on his part…… fecking torture.
Two or three increasingly tense dinners and coffees later, including series one level spoon licking, he kissed me.
Much happy clothes ripping ensued. The man can still render me hornily speechless with an raised eyebrow.

@Mrssebastianstan You need to offer this story to the MNer who is writing a rude novella - very saucy and intense!

Also yes @PaperDoves I do wonder if anyone has sustained it long term

Yes, I have.

No, it didn't!

I think it can end well, if it is replaced with true love & compatibility.

In my case, while I did really like him, and was absolutely consumed by him (we were together two years or so), I always knew I didn't love him and we weren't compatible.

But my God. I literally could not speak the first time I saw him. I was so attracted to him. And it wasn't just his looks, he was very intelligent & articulate, I loved talking to him. We'd great discussions. But fundamentally we were not matched.

@Hungrypeepers I’ll happily donate my one serious sexual tension experience to literature!
