Blurgh. I’ve got it out of the rollers but how the floof do I get it out if the main guts of the machine? I’d post pics but they’re a bit graphic.

Yes, I’ve YouTubed it but I can’t find any info on getting into the machine 😩

I did it by accident with my actual hoover ahahahaha. Horrific. It was puppy poop too so nice and soft 🙃
I just literally got my screw driver and took apart everything I could and cleaned. It still emitted the smell of shit for about 2 weeks after. Sorry if that doesn’t help but at least you know someone else has had to do it 😬

DrManhattan · 05/04/2022 18:21

Bin it

Antarcticant · 05/04/2022 18:24

I think I'd have to get rid of it.

I would like a Roomba but we have cats who sometimes sick up hairballs - complete with marinade of half-digested cat food - and I am afraid of this exact scenario but with vomit.

Laiste · 05/04/2022 18:53

OMG i've never thought of this! I've always fancied a roomba but have cats and yes the occasional hair ball or clinker accident.

Well that's that then. No roomba.

Bin it OP.

I can’t bloody bin it! They cost a grand!

Yes, it was puppy poop and my own bloody fault 😬

Repurpose in the garden as a roving muck spreader? The roses might love it!

DrManhattan · 05/04/2022 19:10

@HoveringDonkeyofKnock
Ha good thinking

Good grief, I had no idea they cost that much.

Somanysocks · 05/04/2022 19:44

Can we have a pic of offending puppy then?

Soubriquet · 05/04/2022 19:45

Yeah roombas and pets are never a good idea.

I’ve seen many photos of them being used as a poop spreader.

I’ve even seen one ruin a brand new laid floor because it caught a tiny stone. It scratched the entire floor

TheGirlWhoLived · 05/04/2022 19:47

Could you make it suck up a pool of bleach, followed by some other cleaning stuff, then maybe some of those Leonor beads. Send it on an obstacle course of cleansing

StScholastica · 05/04/2022 19:47

I have a dog and a cat, both very loved , but they are disgusting when you come to think about it. GrinBlush Good luck OP.

RewildingAmbridge · 05/04/2022 19:48

This is why we run ours at night after the cat has gone upstairs to bed!

gamerchick · 05/04/2022 19:48

Contact the company, they may take pity on you. This isn't the first time this has happened.

This happened to me with our (less expensive) Robovacuum (we call her Sharon 2.0 as she replaced our human cleaner Sharon 1.0). I was able to clean inside quite easily - the wheels and rollers were the worst. I could smell sh**t for a couple of weeks after every time I used it but I put loads of Dettol and bleach through it so I kept telling myself all was ok. To be honest, the poop-tracks all over my tiles (under chairs and tables etc) were almost worse. You have my sympathy OP

DysmalRadius · 05/04/2022 20:58

COuld you try hoovering up some bicarbonate of soda to try and neutralise the smell?

Sexnotgender · 05/04/2022 21:00

I got a cheap Robovac and I have a terribly antisocial rescue that shits on the floor more than potty training triplets. But on my dirt cheap £120 model I can strip the brushes, remove the wheels, roller brushes and entire rubbish box and filters and scrub them. I literally just have to wipe the empty skeleton and then dry the parts and reassemble ( and I keep new filters in case it's bad and I haven't got to it in time). Is a very quick 5 minute job and no after smells?
